BOY IN A RED WAISTCOAT acrylic on canvas
One of a series of studies using the boy in the red waistcoat motif. It is good to allow room for interpretation when approaching the study of an old Master. I attempted to stay within the palette of the original but using my own interpretation with the color forms and the background of the curtain. I found this to be an effective technique for developing the palette and for composition.
